Application-only · 30 seats per year

Thirty traders. Year-round.
Peer-level dialogue.

Mastermind isn't a cohort. It's the room. Established traders who already have reps under their belt, working with each other and with me across a full year. Quarterly intensives, quarterly 1:1s, year-round channel, deepest AI Mentor access. Capped at thirty so it stays a peer group, not an audience.

What it is

A small room of established traders, year-round.

The cohort is the framework taught. Mastermind is the framework lived — applied across a full year, in real markets, with thirty other operators who can call your read and you can call theirs. Less teaching, more sparring.

01

Quarterly small-group intensives.

Four 90-minute group sessions per year — one per quarter. Topic shaped by what the room is working through that quarter. Past examples: macro-event playbook updates, sizing tier rebuilds after a regime shift, post-mortem of a member's account-breaking trade. Recorded for time-zone access.

~6 hours of group intensives per year, plus the recordings library.

02

Quarterly 1:1 with me.

Four 30-minute private sessions per year — one per quarter. Your trade journal, your account, your specific gap. I review your last quarter's data, surface the patterns I see, and we agree on a 90-day adjustment before the next call. The 1:1 is where the framework becomes your framework.

2 hours of private operator time per year. Same number of 1:1s as a cohort would give in 6 weeks — stretched across a full annual loop.

03

Year-round private channel.

Thirty members. One Discord channel. I'm in it daily for trade reviews, framework calls, and live setup grading. Members post their setups, post-mortems, and the messy reads. The signal-to-noise ratio is the constraint — application-only is how we keep it real.

Direct DM with me available for time-sensitive reads. 48-hr turnaround on email.

What's included

Everything in Pro, plus the Mastermind layer.

Mastermind seats include the full Pro tier — AI Mentor unlimited, Trade Mirror, advanced curriculum modules, override-capture insights. Then the Mastermind layer adds the access that doesn't exist at any other tier.

  1. M1

AI Mentor — Opus-tier deep research

The most capable model behind the AI Mentor, with deep-research mode enabled. Multi-step reasoning across the full 26,600-message journal corpus, with original-message citations. Pro tier members get Sonnet (deeper than Member's Haiku); Mastermind members get Opus and the deep-research toggle for genuinely hard reads.

  2. M2

    Quarterly small-group intensives (4 × 90 min)

Recorded. Topics set by the room's actual work that quarter, not a pre-baked syllabus. Past examples: rebuilding the daily playbook after a vol-regime shift, picking apart a member's account-breaking trade publicly, framework updates when a new instrument joins my own rotation.

  3. M3

    Quarterly 1:1 with me (4 × 30 min)

Private. Your trade data, your gaps, your 90-day adjustment plan. I review the prior quarter's journal entries before the call so we use the time on the read, not the catch-up. Same private operator time 4 cohort participants would split across 6 weeks — yours alone, four times.

  4. M4

Priority cohort enrollment (1 cohort per year)

One 6-week public cohort included per year, with priority enrollment ahead of standard waitlist. Use it to refresh a calibration loop with new traders, or save the seat for a quarter where you're rebuilding after a setback. Subject to the 25-seat cap on each public cohort.

  5. M5

    Direct email — 48-hour reply

Email me directly. 48-hour reply window from me, business days. For specific reads, framework questions, journal review requests, or anything that doesn't fit the channel. Most members use it for one or two genuinely hard reads per quarter, not as a daily channel.

  6. M6

    Year-round Mastermind Discord channel

Thirty members. Always-on. I'm in it daily for trade reviews and framework grading. The channel is the compounding asset — past Mastermind members tend to keep talking even after they roll out, building a long-term peer network. The annual cap is what keeps the signal high.

Who this is for

Three honest questions before you apply.

Mastermind isn't where you start. It's where you go after the curriculum and (usually) a cohort have given you a real loop already running. Three checks worth running on yourself first.

Question 1

Have you been trading at least 18 months with documented data?

Mastermind sessions assume you have a trade history we can actually look at — your own data, journaled, with at least 50-100 trades to find patterns in. Funded accounts (Topstep, Apex), personal real-money accounts, or sustained demo with consistent reps all count. What doesn't count: "I've been studying for a year but haven't taken many real trades yet." For that, the curriculum + a cohort is the right next step.

Question 2

Are you stuck on a specific gap, not on motivation?

Mastermind moves fast on specifics — premature exits on winners, sizing inconsistency, session-rule violations during a specific market regime, the spiral pattern you can name but can't break yet. If you can describe the gap in one sentence, you're in the right room. If your answer is "I just need to be more consistent in general," the room won't have a target to push against and you'd burn an annual seat without compounding return.

Question 3

Are you willing to be wrong in front of thirty traders?

The room only works if members post their actual trades — including the ones that violated rules, the ones that blew up, the ones where the framework said pass and they took it anyway. If your read of "peer group" is "place to look smart in front of strangers," Mastermind won't help you. The signal is in the post-mortems. Members who post the most messy reads tend to compound the fastest.

Hard constraints

What Mastermind won't be.

Same discipline that runs the rest of Jalen Trades, applied to Mastermind specifically.

Mastermind · 30 seats

Start an application.

Mastermind opens 30 days after the founding-100 launch. Applications now go on a priority list — first-look review when seats open. Tell me where you are and what you'd want from the year. Real answers help me decide if Mastermind is the right room for you, or if Pro / a cohort is the better next step.

Applications get a written response within 5 business days during launch month. Accepted, deferred to Pro with a path forward, or pass with a reason — every applicant hears back. By submitting you agree to receive launch + Mastermind updates. Unsubscribe anytime.

If the signup window does not confirm, email contact@jalenbuilds.com and I will process the application manually.

Application FAQ

The questions applicants actually ask.

Why is Mastermind application-only?

30 seats is the constraint. The room only works at peer level — if half the seats go to traders still figuring out the basics, the other half lose the dialogue they came for. Application screens out folks who'd be better served by Member, Pro, or a cohort instead. There's no shame in that path; Mastermind isn't where you start.

What does the $4,997 actually cover for the year?

Quarterly small-group intensives (4 × 90-min sessions, recorded), quarterly 1:1 with me (4 × 30-min, private), Opus-tier AI Mentor with deep research enabled, year-round private Mastermind Discord channel, priority enrollment in one public cohort per year, direct email reply within 48 hours from me. Plus everything in the Pro tier — Trade Mirror, override-capture insights, advanced curriculum modules.

How long does the application take to hear back?

Within 5 business days during launch month. Faster after the first cohort fills (most applications come in the launch window). Every applicant gets a written response — accepted, deferred to Pro tier with a specific path forward, or pass with the reason. No ghost-pass.

Can I upgrade from Pro mid-year?

Yes, when seats open. Pro members get first look at any Mastermind seat that opens mid-year (rare — most members renew). Upgrade is prorated against the remainder of your annual cycle. The Pro membership rolls forward at no extra cost during the Mastermind year.

Is the cohort the same as the Mastermind quarterly intensive?

No. The 6-week public cohort is open enrollment ($497-997) and runs 2-4 times per year. The Mastermind quarterly intensive is internal — small group, scoped to where Mastermind members are in their year. Mastermind members also get priority enrollment in one public cohort per year if they want a calibration refresh with new traders.

What if I'm accepted but my year goes sideways?

We can prorate-pause and roll the remaining months forward to the next annual cycle. Life happens — accounts blow up, jobs change, families happen. Mastermind isn't a refund-after-week-2 product, but it isn't a trap either. Talk to me if your year stops working; we'll figure out the right adjustment.

Will my application data be private?

Yes. Application responses go only to me. They're not shared with the room, not used for marketing, not sold or syndicated to anyone. They exist to help me decide fit and to inform what we work on if you're accepted. If you're not accepted, your data stays in the application archive (for re-application reference) but isn't used elsewhere.
