1. The service
Jalen Trades ("we", "us", "the service") is a practitioner-led trading academy operated by Jalen Johnson. The service includes:
- A Discord-hosted bot that grades trade setups against the operator's 5-layer framework
- An AI Mentor built on the operator's trading journal
- An 8-module curriculum
- Private community channels
- 6-week intensive cohorts (separate enrollment)
- Mastermind tier with quarterly intensives + 1:1 sessions (application-based, separate)
Jalen Trades is education + tools + community. It is NOT investment advice, a registered investment advisor service, a managed-account service, or a buy/sell signal service. We do not place trades, manage your accounts, or guarantee specific outcomes.
2. Eligibility
To use Jalen Trades you must be at least 18 years old. Futures trading involves substantial financial risk and is appropriate only for adults with the means and risk tolerance to absorb potential losses. By signing up you confirm you meet this age requirement.
3. Subscription tiers and pricing
Current pricing (as of 2026-05-09; subject to change with notice):
- Member: $29/mo or $290/yr (annual saves ~17%); founding-100 lifetime locked at $19/mo for the first 100 enrollees
- Pro: $79/mo or $790/yr
- Mastermind: $4,997/yr (application-based, 30 seats max)
- Cohort — Standard: $497 per 6-week cohort (one-time)
- Cohort — With 1:1: $997 per 6-week cohort (one-time)
Founding-100 lifetime pricing means the $19/mo rate is locked for as long as you maintain an active subscription. If your subscription lapses (cancellation or non-payment), the founding-100 seat is forfeit and you cannot reclaim it — re-subscription would be at standard pricing.
Pricing changes for non-founding-100 tiers may occur with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

4. Billing and renewal
All subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Annual subscriptions auto-renew annually. Monthly subscriptions auto-renew monthly. Stripe processes all payments; we do not store your card data.
If a payment fails, we will attempt automatic retry per Stripe's smart retry. If retries also fail, your subscription will be cancelled and your Discord role removed. You can re-subscribe at any time at then-current pricing.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation: You can cancel at any time via the `/cancel-subscription` slash command in Discord OR through your Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you retain access until then.
Pause: Member-tier subscribers can pause for 30 days via `/pause-subscription`. Discord role retained during pause; auto-resume after 30 days unless you cancel.
Refund policy:
- Within 7 days of first subscription: we will issue a full refund on request, no questions asked. Email contact@jalentrades.com within 7 days of your initial payment to request.
- After 7 days: no refund of subscription fees. You can cancel to stop future billing but past payments are non-refundable. This is consistent with industry practice for educational and software services.
- Cohort refunds: cohort enrollment is non-refundable once W1 has begun. Before W1 starts, contact us within 24 hours of the issue and we will work with you on a case-by-case basis (refund, defer to next cohort, or convert to subscription credit).
- Mastermind refunds: Mastermind tier is annual prepay. Pro-rata refund available within the first 30 days of the annual term. After 30 days, no refund.
- Operator-initiated refunds: if we materially change or discontinue a service, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your subscription.
- Chargebacks: if you initiate a chargeback through your bank or credit card without first contacting us, your access will be revoked immediately and we will not issue additional refunds. We strongly prefer you contact us first.
6. Acceptable use
By using Jalen Trades you agree NOT to:
- Share login credentials, Discord access, or paid content with non-members
- Scrape, copy, redistribute, or republish curriculum content, AI Mentor responses, or community discussions outside the service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or replicate the bot's source code or framework grading logic
- Abuse the AI Mentor with automated queries, prompt injection, or attempts to extract operator data
- Harass, threaten, or behave abusively toward other members, operator, or staff
- Spam DMs to other members with promotional content for external services
- Use Jalen Trades to facilitate illegal activity
- Misrepresent your identity, broker, or trading status
Violations may result in immediate termination without refund. Operator's discretion is final on borderline cases.
7. Investment / education disclaimer
This is the most important section.
Jalen Trades is an educational service. We provide:
- Educational content (curriculum, case studies, framework explanations)
- Tools (the bot grades setups; the AI Mentor answers questions)
- Community (private Discord channels for member discussion)
We do NOT:
- Predict prices
- Provide buy/sell signals or specific trade recommendations
- Manage customer accounts
- Solicit funds for investment
- Operate as a registered investment advisor, FCM, IB, CPO, or CTA
- Guarantee any specific trading outcome
Past performance is not indicative of future results. The operator's case studies on this site reflect actual realized trades by the operator only. They do not guarantee or imply that members will achieve similar results. Most retail futures traders lose money. Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not appropriate for every investor.
All trading decisions are yours alone. The bot grades setups; you decide whether to take the trade. The AI Mentor answers questions; you decide whether to act on the information. Operator does not manage your account; you trade your own account under your own decisions.

8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Jalen Trades is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
- We are not liable for trading losses you incur while using the service
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Total liability for any direct claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim
- Bot downtime, AI Mentor errors, or other service interruptions do not constitute breach of contract sufficient to warrant additional damages — we will work to restore service promptly
Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of liability or exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Discord ToS compliance
Use of Jalen Trades requires a Discord account. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Violations of Discord's terms may result in your Discord account being limited or removed; we cannot prevent or reverse Discord's actions on your account. If your Discord account is removed, your access to Jalen Trades may be affected.
10. Modifications to the service
We may add, remove, or change features of the service over time. Material changes that affect what you receive at your subscription tier will be announced with 30 days' notice. If a change materially reduces what you're paying for, you can cancel for a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
11. Termination
By you: cancel any time via slash command or Stripe portal.
By us: we may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms, payment failures, or other good-faith reasons. We will notify you and, where appropriate, provide a pro-rata refund. Repeat or severe violations may result in immediate termination without refund.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington State. By using the service, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Modifications to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves or as legal requirements change. Material changes will be announced with 30 days' notice via email. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
