What happens after checkout

  1. Verify Discord. The checkout starts with Discord OAuth so the system knows which member to grant.
  2. Complete Stripe. Stripe handles the payment session and sends the webhook back to Jalen Trades.
  3. Enter onboarding. Successful payment grants the member role, stores the founding seat, and sends the onboarding DM.

If checkout is paused, the readiness guard stops the link before payment and explains the current access path.

Paid pricing context

Annual is the default paid path because customers save over the year, the studio gets predictable cash flow, and the Cohort 1 budget can run heavier on the live-session side.

Refund and pause policy

The refund policy is refund-on-request within 7 days of payment, no questions asked. After 7 days, no refunds, but you can pause your subscription for 30 days via /pause-subscription in Discord (Member tier; role retained during pause, auto-resumes after 30 days). Cohort 1 enrollment is separately governed because the seat is taken from someone on the waitlist.
